You shoot me to the moon.
Who: Rewind and Minimus Ambus
Where: Rooftop.
Summary: Rewind invites Minimus to join him in staring at an alien moon, and telling him about finding Luna 1.
Warnings: None. (except fluff)
This was the one story Rewind liked more than any of the others that occurred after his... well, after he was no longer aboard the Lost Light. He didn't even really like the story of adventure itself - well, he did, to an extent. Hearing how Tailgate had saved everyone, about how the Autobots had pulled through against all the odds and saved the lives of all cold-constructed bots in the universe.
But what he liked to hear about more was Luna 1 itself... About how the entire surface of the planet had lit up with sparks. New sparks! The moon he and Dominus had spent so long looking for, the quest they'd traveled halfway across the universe for... He wishes, with all his might, that he could have been there to see it. If only everyone had bolted cameras to their heads.
Instead he settles to listen to Minimus tell him about it, so he can imagine it for himself.
The little bot lays on his back and stares up at the alien moon shining down on them from above. One small hand is curled around the slightly larger bot's wrist, squeezing gently.
"How many were there, do you think? Did Rodimus give an estimate more precise than 'a million'? There had to be a visible start and end to the hot spot... or was it the entire moon??" He smiles dreamily.
