Where: Lucina's house in Carvaka
Summary: We're continuing a thread we never got to finish, whoo.
Warnings: Booty call sex.

When Lucina offered Amon a drink, his throat quite suddenly felt dry and parched. He rubbed at his throat a bit while leaning awkwardly against a wall.

"Water..."

Hah. Even the word felt heavy on his tongue, way too loaded.

"I just need some water."

Really that wasn't all he needed. It's certainly not what he came here for, but he wasn't about to bring all of that up around her. Not unless she started asking (fairly valid) questions.

"Of course. One moment." Lucina moves off towards the kitchen area to grab him a cup, returning momentarily with a cup of water for her surprise guest, offering it to him.

"It was just brought here today, so it's fairly fresh." There was always a worry about stagnant water, after all. After he takes it, she'll pause, unsure for a moment. "Is there anything I can help you with? You don't quite look yourself, though I admit I may not be the best judge."

Amon took the cup carefully from Lucina, staring down at the water for a minute before taking a long gulp. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand as he set the cup aside, giving Lucina a bit of a wry smile.

"Was that a joke?" he asked, gesturing to his face. But after a moment his smile fell, and he he looked away from her, staring up towards the ceiling. "I... Severa and I..." Amon trailed off, trying to find a way to put it, without being too open with his feelings, without admitting he'd unloaded all sorts of baggage onto Lucina's close ally in a drunken stupor.

Honesty failed him. So he fell back on his old habit, lying through his teeth.

"It's been a while since I've had any proper distraction. Severa left me an open offer."
